Next Generation Childcare Co Ltd provides quality care and education in an enjoyable home like environment. We are located in suburban streets within Birkenhead. The buildings were previously family homes, but are now sole purpose childcare centres.
Our dedicated infant care centre at 12 West Glade Crescent, Birkenhead is licensed for fifteen children under two years of age. Children from two to five years old attend our centre at 19 Gatman St, Birkdale, which is licensed for thirty children. Our teaching staff at both centres are qualified and registered with the New Zealand Teachers Council, or are in training to become qualified early childhood teachers.
The management are committed to maintaining quality teaching staff and equipment in the centres, with a special emphasis on safety, education and fun
Our Teachers are committed to quality planning, professional development and research. We use Learning Stories and digital photography to document children’s learning and to reflect on the emergent curriculum. Individual Profile Books present the child’s educational journey while they attend the centre. These can also be viewed by parents on line.
Teachers liaise with parents to maintain children’s routines as closely as possible and to support the parenting role in today’s busy lifestyle.
